Chimie des biotoxines marines susceptibles d’être impliquées dans des intoxications humaines, notamment la ciguatéra. Etude de la toxicité des invertébrés marins, nouveaux vecteurs d’intoxications, et des cyanobactéries benthiques marines, nouvelles sources de toxines. Mise en place de nouvelles méthodes de monitoring passif (filtres SPATT) aptes à détecter les biotoxines susceptibles de circuler dans les eaux de Polynésie française afin de prévenir l’émergence de phénomènes d’intoxication. Optimisation des protocoles d’extraction des ciguatoxines à partir des produits marins. Etude in vitro de la biotransformation des ciguatoxines algales en congénères plus oxydés.
